Great excitement! You’ve set up your business, but now you have got to a stage where you really could do with some guidance to improve your mindset and resilience to drive your business forward.
Here are some things you can do to improve your mindset and resilience so you feel more confident in your business –
- We are nothing without our health. I know it’s boring, but it’s so important to:
– Drink enough water (that’s 2 litres a day in addition to tea & coffee)
– Exercise daily and get enough steps in
– Get plenty of sleep
– Eat a nourishing diet that feeds your body and soul
– Relax – we are all different; that could be stepping into nature, spending time with your pet, gardening or meditation
Remember, a healthy body = a healthy mind. - We humans love to learn. The thing is, we’re less good at putting those learnings into action. Think about the things our dentists, doctors, physios, and life coaches teach us – these things will only help us if we do them! It’s the same with business – try to get into a habit of implementing the things you’ve learnt.
- The next time imposter syndrome strikes, dig out all the good things your clients and colleagues have written about you and read through them. They are all true!
- Even the most successful people feel afraid. So many singers get the butterflies and an icky feeling in their stomachs before going on stage. Fear is normal – learn more about how it helps us here. https://louisepengilley.com/blog-comfort-zone/
- Resilience is fundamental to how we perform in our work environment. Read this blog and think about what you could learn and start to implement. https://louisepengilley.com/blog-resilience-in-the-workplace/

- Why not carry out some research based on fact and not feeling read how to do this here – https://louisepengilley.com/blog-how-to-gain-competitive-advantage-in-business/
- Ensure you have a plan that details your goals, how you will measure success, and in what timeframe. Only then you can work out the tactics required to achieve each goal. So often we can keep ourselves busy working on tactics but they may not be in line with our bigger goals.
- Why not make a list of the things you are always putting off, then establish why you don’t do them is it because you find them boring, you don’t have the time or you feel it is a little outside of your comfort zone?
