Why I began coaching and mentoring

About Louise

Would you believe I never wanted to become self-employed?

I’d witnessed the stress of running a business from my dad, who owned two hair salons with nearly 40 employees. Too often, employees would overindulge on Friday nights and call in ‘sick’ on Saturday – our busiest day – leaving clients without appointments. There was no way I was going to inflict that on myself.

So, I opted for a corporate career, climbed the ladder and held a range of management and leadership roles. Wherever I worked, my roles involved implementing processes from scratch, managing teams and ensuring sales and marketing activities drove results.

Then in 2018, everything changed.

Our client pulled all marketing funding, leaving me out of a job. I scrolled through job boards, unable to find a role that met all my ‘requirements’. That’s when I realised I wanted to work with small and solo business owners.

So, I started to attend networking events. I was chatting to one business owner who asked me, ‘Louise, can you teach me everything you know?’

That one conversation changed everything.

I took my knowledge and experience and made it my mission to help small businesses and their teams grow personally and professionally. That’s how my coaching and mentoring practice began.

Since starting my business, I’ve worked one-to-one with over 150 clients. To help my clients achieve the best results, I’ve created my own method – the Simplified Sales System. It’s more than a strategy; it’s a proven framework I use in my coaching and mentoring practice, designed to take the stress out of sales and help business owners scale with confidence. Focused, disciplined & accountable I’ll show you how to increase your focus and become more disciplined, so you achieve your goals more easily. Because I hold you accountable to your plan, you’ll keep progressing in spite of distractions.

Not just another business coach

I am a mentor, trainer and accredited DISC practitioner with over 25 years of corporate experience, including leadership and EMEA roles for a top 100 global company. When I first started coaching and mentoring, I quickly recognised a gap in business support – there’s too much focus on ‘what to do’ and ‘why it matters,’ and not enough on ‘how to implement ideas’. Information alone isn’t enough. Without a clear guide, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed, lose direction and stall your progress.

This is why I built the Simplified Sales System. It’s a practical framework that guides clients through the entire sales cycle, from initial contact to building lasting client relationships. With over 60 step-by-step tools, it empowers you to take tailored, actionable steps that align with your personality and business, helping you move your business forward in a way that feels comfortable for you.

I specialise in working with service-based solo business owners and SMEs with teams, focusing on time, focus, and wellbeing. I can help you and your team build effective habits, establish structure, and prioritise actions supporting your goals.

Having supported over 150 clients one-on-one, I now share my expertise through workshops, in-house training, and my membership programme, allowing more businesses to benefit from practical strategies that inspire confidence, clarity, and balance.
